Blue Cheese Buffalo Chicken Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pound boneless chicken cutlets, cut in 4 pieces
  • ½ cup buffalo hot sauce, store bought
  • 2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everyday Seasoning
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ Red onion sliced
  • 1 large tomato sliced
  • 4 large lettuce leaves
  • 8 pickles
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • ½ c. buttermilk
  • 7 Tbsp. hot sauce
  • 4 soft rolls, split and toasted
  • Shirlie Jayne’s Blue Cheese salad dressing to taste

How to Prepare

  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy bottomed pot, heat enough oil to come up 1.2 way on the side of the pot 350 degrees F.
  2. Put season the chicken with smoked paprika and Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everything Seasoning.
  3. In another dish mix together hot sauce, egg and buttermilk.
  4. Dredge each piece of chicken in buttermilk mixture and shake off excess.
  5. The dredge in flour mixture.
  6. Fry for 4-6 minutes until the chicken is cooked through reaching a temperature of 165 degrees F.
  7. Dip the finished chicken in the buffalo sauce and place them of the toasted roll.
  8. Top the chicken with Shirlie Jayne’s Blue Cheese salad dressing.
  9. Add a slice of tomato, red onion, pickles and lettuce leaf.
