Blue Cheese Buffalo Chicken Burger
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound boneless chicken cutlets, cut in 4 pieces
- ½ cup buffalo hot sauce, store bought
- 2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
- 1 Tbsp. Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everyday Seasoning
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 egg
- ½ Red onion sliced
- 1 large tomato sliced
- 4 large lettuce leaves
- 8 pickles
- vegetable oil for frying
- ½ c. buttermilk
- 7 Tbsp. hot sauce
- 4 soft rolls, split and toasted
- Shirlie Jayne’s Blue Cheese salad dressing to taste
How to Prepare
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy bottomed pot, heat enough oil to come up 1.2 way on the side of the pot 350 degrees F.
- Put season the chicken with smoked paprika and Shirlie Jayne’s Savory Everything Seasoning.
- In another dish mix together hot sauce, egg and buttermilk.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in buttermilk mixture and shake off excess.
- The dredge in flour mixture.
- Fry for 4-6 minutes until the chicken is cooked through reaching a temperature of 165 degrees F.
- Dip the finished chicken in the buffalo sauce and place them of the toasted roll.
- Top the chicken with Shirlie Jayne’s Blue Cheese salad dressing.
- Add a slice of tomato, red onion, pickles and lettuce leaf.
